• Air travel was becoming more popular and planes needed


to be bigger.
• On 22nd January 1970 the first Boeing 747 entered service
on Pan Am’s “New York – London” route.

CONCORDE 1976

• In 1976 the fastest aircraft the world has ever known took
it’s first commercial flight.
• It could cross the Atlantic Ocean in 3 ½ hours.
• In 2003 it was retired from service after safety concerns.

few hours by the help of outstanding invention of
engineering (i.e.) AIRCRAFT.
• The aircraft can give a country to country passage by
