Out of the city

• As Chisinau slowly
opens up, venue
openings and activities
on offer are constantly
changing. When the sun
is shining, Moldavians
leave their apartments
and go outside the city.
Occupation out
of the city

• Outside of Chisinau we
can find many
interesting occupations
and beautiful places.
One of them
is Activities on the
Dniester.
The running water of the Dniester River is
only good for various individual and
group water activities. On the Dniester
you can go kayaking, simple rowing or
even venture on inflatable boats.
These activities can be a great opportunity
for a more unusual meeting with friends,
a team building with colleagues or a
weekend spent actively with family
members.
• Hiking is an opportunity to explore nature on the go. Given that many
Hiking tour in professional activities are associated with sedentary lifestyle and involve
prolonged sitting in a chair, such an activity, although simple at first glance,
Codri will benefit your body in a beneficial way. In addition to inspiring fresh air for
hours, hiking is a great opportunity for discussion and a source of observation
and ideas. Among the favorite hiking areas are the forest near the Hîncu
monastery, the area of Condrița and the forest in Orhei district. With a little
luck, in Codri you can also meet deer.
Monasteries, fortresses, mansions and a
bunker
Visiting man-made sights is probably the most widespread form of
local tourism in the Republic of Moldova. Who didn't go to visit
some monastery complexes (Căpriana, Hîncu, Curchi, Condrița,
etc.), Soroca fortress or Manuc Bei's mansion from Hîncești? And
for those who haven't done so yet, travel bans abroad this summer
are a good opportunity to not hesitate.
An inspired choice is to visit the Saharna and Ţîpova monasteries,
which are close to each other. Their advantage consists in the short
distance from the bank of the Dniester, in an area with forest strips.
At Saharna you can also go hiking to the nearby waterfall.
A mysterious and sometimes scary tourist attraction, it is located about
35 kilometers from the Sahara. Here, in the forest on the outskirts of
the village of Olișcani, there is a Soviet bunker, a former strategic
objective of union importance. At the time of the abandonment of
the project, the construction was almost ready for commissioning.
Currently, the bunker in the middle of the forest also attracts foreign
tourists.
Bicycle tours
Cycling enthusiasts now have even
more reasons to enjoy the two-
wheeled hobby, especially since
in recent years there have been
tours for cyclists both on national
public roads and on country roads
or even in forested areas. All you
have to do is prepare your "two-
wheeled toy" and type your
keywords in Google to find the
existing offers.
Paragliding, parachuting, flying, hang
gliding or hot air ballooning

Fortunately, access to such services is easy in the

Republic of Moldova. Usually, these types of flights
take place in picturesque areas such as Orheiul
Vechi and Vadul lui Vodă (flights with small planes
are made from the aerodrome in this locality), but
hot air balloons can be observed, periodically, and
above Chisinau.
Wineries

The Republic of Moldova

is proud of wineries. Some
of them have arranged
restaurants and even
accommodation on their
territory.
Special reliefs and areas
The Republic of Moldova does not have mountains, but it can
boast a few places that stand out due to the beauty of the relief
or the diversity of flora and fauna. Among the most beautiful
forms of relief are those from Orheiul Vechi and Duruitoarea.
At the same time, it is worth mentioning three places from
where the Dniester can be admired from above and which
represent tourist objectives in itself: the rock located between
Molovata and Mărcăuți (where the Dniester turns towards the
Dubasari hydroelectric power plant and opens the view to
Molovata Nouă), "Candle of Gratitude" from Soroca and the
rock from Socola, Soldanesti district. Near this locality is the
memorial house of the poet Dumitru Matcovschi from Vadul-
Rașcov.
Probably the most appreciated water basin, in terms of flora
and fauna, is Lake Beleu. It is located in the south of the
republic, in the scientific reserve of the Lower Prut. There are
over 20 species of fish here. The lake hosts pelicans flocks of
pelicans every year for a few weeks, a special event for locals
and visitors.
Rest in boarding
houses
Enjoy the peace of a rustic pension, especially
since in the Republic of Moldova we do not lack
them. Although there are not many, they
represent the authenticity of rest in the country
and are located in areas of special nature or near
a river, lake or forest. At the same time, some
pensions also benefited from the support of
external donors precisely in order to increase
their level of attractiveness.
The rest at the boarding house is even more
unique for those who are caught working on the
computer, as the peace and the authentic
elements here can charge your batteries for the
next working days.
Among the areas where we can find well-known
guesthouses are the Orheiul Vechi complex, the
bank of the Dniester or the proximity of Lake
Costești-Stânca.
Alternatives for animal lovers
Those who are bored of the Chisinau
Zoo can opt for the one in Bardar,
Ialoveni, or they can go to see the
bison in the Royal Forest.
An alternative is equestrianism. And this
time Google comes to your aid. For
example, at a riding school near
Chisinau, a riding lesson for
beginners, lasting 30 minutes, costs
300 lei, and a 45-minute lesson - 350
lei; and children will learn to ride a
pony.
And if these suggestions are not enough,
you can always opt for a picnic with
friends or family, you can go fishing
or with a tent in a place to catch a
sunrise on the 10th grade.
