A religion is that aspect of culture defined
as an organized system of beliefs.

CHRISTIANITY
- “christos”, 'Anointed'
referring to Jesus Christ

ISLAM
Derived from an Arabic
word for 'submission'.
Also related to the
Arabic word salaam,
'peace'.

JUDAISM
From the Hebrew:
Yehudim, 'Judah'.

Religion does play a part in morality. But its
role should be to guide people
towards the right path and not to create
confusion and conflict. The interpretations
of
religious doctrines should be made by men
with great respect for the universal moral
values that aim to foster peace and unity
among human beings. After all, the goal of
all
religious beliefs is to elevate the status of
man as a being, capable of achieving
happiness
in harmony with others.
