“Smart Textile For Patient Monitoring”

TEAM NAME : VIBRANT GROUP

MENTOR: MR. AJAY YADAV
INNOVATOR: DHYEY KUMAR ASHAR
PROBLEMS:
• IN Critical condition of patient continuous monitoring
of patient is required that is not perfectly achieved by
manually.

• Parameters like heart rate , Blood pressure etc. are

needed to be measured at continuous period.

• IN ECG ,EEG , EMG etc. where the observed

waveform fluctuation is a very important phenomenon
to dedicate the problem .

• Old age persons and infant need the continuous

monitoring of their health that is difficult by manually
and the Complex health monitoring system make it FIG.1 :WEARABLE ANTENNAS IN

difficult .
CONVENTINOL METHODS:
ECG : It measure a graph of voltage
versus time – of the electrical activity of
the heart using electrodes placed on the skin.
These electrodes detect the small electrical
changes that are a consequence of cardiac
muscle depolarization followed
by repolarization during each cardiac cycle
(heartbeat).

SENSORS: The sensors are used to measure

chest compressions, light and temperature,
pressure & flexing, and even monitor heart
beats.

WEARABLE ANTENNA :

 The wearable antenna is one of the key

components in order to establish body area
network (BAN) for wireless communication.
 Wearable antennas can be design for medical
applications like bio signal monitoring FIG.2: Wearable Antenna Uses and
applications , Tele-Medicine applications , components..
Skin Cancer detection , for bio-information
applications .
 These antennas are composed of conductive
fabric material used for the grounding parts
and radiating patch, known as electro-textile.
WEARABLE ANTENNA IN PULSE MONITORING:
 The emergence of e-textiles in the field of medicine &
health care, these sensors are being designed and
modelled in such a way, so that they can send
information regarding a certain patient, directly to
doctors or supervisors, seated at a far distance through
wireless assistance.

 Specific requirements for wearable antennas are

a planar structure and flexible construction
materials.

 Electrical properties of conductive textiles have been

accurately characterized using the Transmission Line
Method .

DATA PROCESSING:
1) INTERNAL PROCESSING :
A) Data is processed with wearable.
b) higher battery consumption.
c) Efficient algorithm required.

2) External processing :
a) data send to device.
b) data processing
c)higher computational
capabilities.
FUTURE APPROACH :

 In next 10 year there will be Huge impact on Military ,Medical sector

 Soldiers Health and Tracking Compact Devices.
 Health Monitoring for Critical patient.
 E-Skin
Implementation of Prototype:

 Host Educational events: invite people for attending the seminar and bring guest lecturers
and make them aware of technology and spread the vision to people.

 Awareness Camp: We will organize awareness camps in various villages for

implementation of this Prototype.

 Organize a service project: Allow groups for volunteering in the programs and providing
trainings and internships.
