What is Information Technology?
 The branch of engineering that deals with the use of
computers and telecommunications to retrieve and store
and transmit information.

 The term "IT" encompasses the methods and techniques

used in information handling and retrieval by automatic
means. The means include computers, telecommunications
and office systems or any combination of these elements.
What Are The Main Problems In
Pakistan?
Since Pakistan is a developing nation, she has a lot of social issues
some of which include:
 POVERTY
 ILLITERACY
 CORRUPTION
 POLITICAL
INSTABILITY
 TERRORISM
 INFLATION
 UNEMPLOYMENT

Information and communication technology (ICT) now plays a major

role in all aspects of life and has revolutionized the way we
live, work and interact.
But the question remains the same
Does ICT contribute to poverty reduction??
Yes It can?
I am not saying that only Information Technology can Play a vital role for
the deduction of poverty from our home land but it can play an integral role
for the same.
Example:
The clearest example is the farmer who benefits from technology to get
daily market prices and can subsequently buy seeds at 20% less and sell
produce for 20% more by eliminating the middleman. Although the
technology may actually only reach a center in the district nearby and the
data be carried to village level on paper or by word of mouth, the farmer is
still the direct beneficiary of the information itself.

Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students, who

are nation builders of tomorrow. They must fully equip
themselves by discipline, education, and training for the
arduous task lying ahead of them.

The media is a very important institution in social development throughout one's

entire life. As it encompasses essentially every way in which people, companies or
organizations communicate messages to each other (newspapers, tv shows,
advertisements, online social networking, billboards, mail, etc) it is nearly
impossible to grow up having never been exposed to some sort of persuasive
messages via the media. 
It plays a role in developing one's personal sense of self-identity, opinions or
preferences, interpretation of how they see the world around them, purchase
decisions, interactions with other people, etc.
