GimKit

It’s like kahoot… but cool.

What is this? Why am I here?

● This is a PLD over a new web 2.0 tool that I

think would benefit literally everyone on this
campus.
● You’re here because I saw the survey results
last month and felt compelled to look for fun
and exciting ways to start the dreaded
MILESTONE review.

But, Farriba, I don’t teach a tested subject…

● Fear not, fearless, restless teacher! GimKit

can work for your classes too!
Teacher Worries Survey ● 86% of CCS staff worried about
Results: learning regression in their
students due to COVID-19
● 96% of teachers worried about
incorporating technology into
their daily lessons.
● 98% of teacher worried that their
lessons were not engaging
enough.

I’m here to help!

A quick sidenote: GimKit was created by a teen
named Josh Fiensilber. He, like
many students across the country,
grew tired of traditional quiz and
review games like kahoot. He took
the basic concept of these kids of
tools and used his insight as a high
schooler to create an even more
interactive and engaging platform
for teachers and their students.

This is literally a tool made by kids

for kids!
And now to show you how it works...

Why I think it will work for you...

● There are 11 different types of games you can choose from. This keeps the
program fun and fresh for students!
● You can create your own kits (or have your students create kits) over your
content standards! You can literally custom tailor this program to whatever
you want to teach!
● The premade kits are awesome! And there are TONS of them! So if you
need a quick review you can simply search for something related to your
content and review the questions to see if you have a quick and easy fit.
● The kids love it. I’ve tested it in several subject areas (thank you to my
guinea pigs!) and each group of students was genuinely excited to play.
They all have their personal preference of games but you won’t find anyone
who wants to sit out.
