Hi, friends. My name is _______________.

I am
___________ years old. I am studying in SK Bukit
Arip, Selangau. For today, I am going to talk about
my favourite book, entitled Mahsuri, Legend of
Langkawi Island. I am sure some of you have read or
heard the story about Mahsuri, right?
First of all, let me talk about this book. This book
introduces Malaysia’s most famous tales to young
readers. This wonderful book was adapted by Bob
Williams and published by Kohwai and Young
Publications Sendirian Berhad. The book has 16
pages.
My dear friends, let me tell you a little bit about the
story of this book. The readers of all ages will enjoy
the sad story of Mahsuri, one of Malaysia’s most
popular tales.
Beautiful Mahsuri is kind to everyone she meets and
her family is honoured when she marries the brother
of the village chief. But the happiness does not last
when people are conquered by jealousy and hatred.
The story teaches us not to listen to one side story.
This book includes lively, colourful illustrations to
stimulate the imagination of the readers. I love this
book because it is written in simple, clear and easy-
to-read language. The author provides carefully
chosen words to enrich my vocabulary.
Overall, it is an interesting reading material. I would
love to suggest this book to
everyone.

Thank you.
