Diskusi Pertemuan 10

Kelompok 2 :
1. Adevian Riski
2. Anita Dewi
3. Retsa Aji Pangestu
4. Tarso Sunandar
5. Wisnu Dwiyantoro R.
In this discussion, we discuss what should be considered in the process of making a
company.
1. Determination of Location
In determining the location of production we will find various aspects in it such as
whether we will expand the work area of the company, then how the acquisition of
company raw materials, company decentralization and other economic factors.
2. Layout Design
In designing the layout of a factory, we first understand what products will be
produced from the benefits, functions, shapes, sizes, quality, manufacturing
processes and materials needed. After we understand what will be produced then
we can then arrange the work sequence in the production process and at the same
time determine what equipment is needed.
Basically, from the two bases above there will be further details, namely:
1. Production Process Analysis
2. Cost Analysis
3. Analysis of the Need for Machines and Equipment Work
4. Workforce Analysis required.
5. Analysis of Environmental Conditions
1. LOCATION DETERMINATION
In determining the location of the company in it contains various factors such
as:
1. Economic Factors
- Land acquisition costs, preparation and construction costs, licensing fees
and others.
- Labor costs in an area, expertise, and availability of labor.
- Transportation costs from suppliers to factories and factories to the market.
Taxes and other fees.
2. Non-economic factors
- Traditions and behavior of labor.
- Number and type of housing available.
- Community attitude.
2. LAYOUT DESIGN
Planning the layout of production facilities is closely related to the planning
process and the arrangement of the location of machines, equipment, material
flow, and workers at each work station (work station). The layout of the
production facility layout must take into account the following factors:
1. Types of products, including product design and production volume.
2. The order of the process, whether on the basis of the flow or on the basis of
the process.
3. Equipment used, both technology, type, and engine capacity.
4. Maintenance and replacement of machinery and equipment (maintenance
and replacement).
5. Capacity balance between machines and between departments (balance
capacity)
6. Work area (employee area).
7. Service area.
8. Flexibility
TOPIC DISCUSSION
In this discussion we named this company PT Jaya
Prentindo. The items we produce are car spare parts
such as alloy wheels and car exhausts. The
implementation of our production system follows the
system that is supported by other car industry
companies such as Toyota, therefore in this discussion
we are looking for a location that in the long run our
company will continue or operate well. There are
several analyzes which we will discuss in the next
slide.
As for the discussion this time we discussed namely:

1. Production Process Analysis

The first most important thing for a business actor to think about especially in
establishing a factory is what we will produce, what is the process, then what is
needed, how much area do we need. So that in its implementation we can
understand that the nature of the company was established for what purpose,
then how long this company will last and how the existing market. In general, a
person or an institution if it will establish a company with the aim to gain profits
and be able to move forward so that the concepts underlying the production
produced must be able to continue to develop along with the development of
existing technology and also used by all levels of society.

2. Cost Analysis
In building a company we must also take into account the cost. How much does it
cost to set up a company? Is 1 billion rupiah or maybe more. Assuming we have
and amounting to 3 billion rupiah to set up the factory, we must understand
which elements are important in establishing a business so that the funds are
not wrong in their use.
3. Analysis of Work Machinery and Equipment Needs
In this discussion we also take into account what machines are needed, which are as follows:
- 7 units of CNC Milling machines
- 3 units of CNC Lathe
- 1 unit scrub machine
- 1 unit of manual lathe
- 1 unit of manual milling machine
- 1 unit of argon welding machine
- Digital and manual inspection tools
- Assembly tools

4. Workforce Analysis needed

Then we also discuss the number of workers needed for company operations:
- 10 CNC machine operators
- 5 manual machine operators
- 5 people quality control
- 6 technicians with 1 supervisor
- 150 assembly workers with 5 supervisors
- and 5 people as company leaders including factory managers.

5. Analysis of Environmental Conditions

For this analysis is more related to how the culture around the factory area will be established. Do not let us
establish a company but the community around it would feel disadvantaged or violate the rules or culture that
is there. Therefore, the environment must also be considered because it includes how we can understand the
market that is around the area of establishment of the business.
CONCLUSION
From this discussion we understand that certainly in establishing
a business, especially a factory, there must still be many other
related factors in it, from the costs that must be incurred for
company licensing, then how electricity is needed for machine
and computer operations, then the use of services certain
services if needed, as well as to take care of letters or those
related to customer complaints. So from our discussion this time
we will try to be more able to develop it again so that we can
produce a company that is not only a fulfillment of our tasks but
also as an evaluation material for us to be able to create our own
business even though it may not have reached the factory level.
