09/06 - Slide 3
B222 ReachStacker

Introduction

The NEW Reach Stacker will have the following features:

 Introduction of QSM Tier 3 with 300 and 335hp versions

 Introduction of the Dana Spicer TE-27 and TE-32 Electronic shifting
transmissions
 Improved transportability & serviceability regarding boom mounting
and dismounting
 Upgrade electrics and hydraulic routings
 Leak free hydraulics (ORFS)
 Deploy 36 – 52ton front loader operator compartment
 Side Tanks from 36 – 52tons front loader

09/06 - Slide 4

Features overview

Ergonomics
 Ergonomics are greatly improved through the new operating
compartment.
 The new cab improves operator comfort, improves visibility, reduces
noise and comes with standard air conditioning.

Ease of Maintenance / Serviceability

 Good engine / transmission / hydraulic service access, due to standard
sliding cab (manual or powered).
 Service intervals to 500 hours.

Lift / Lower speed

 Smaller lift cylinders together with optimized pump layout and two –
speed system, provide improved loaded and unloaded lift speeds.

09/06 - Slide 5

Features overview

Reliability
 The proven reliability of the E117 / F117 is extended to the B222.
 Specific reliability improvements include:
• OFRS hose fittings
• Improved routing of wire harnesses and hydraulic hoses
• Proven components from Bosch – Rexroth (pumps, main valve)
• Increased cooling capacity and rubber mounted radiator.

Transport
 Frame changes results in the same “truck height” as E117 / F117
(with the boom dismantled).
 Boom mounting has been redesigned for easier boom assembly /
disassembly.

09/06 - Slide 6

Frame

 There is one Wheelbase, 5900mm, identical to A222 / F117.

 Frame is filled with ballast materials in addition to the use of the
current counterweight design.

 Frame is common with the 36 – 52 ton series (E117 / F117), apart from
the derricking cylinder mounts.
 These changes are driven by the common drive train including cooling
with the 36 – 52ton and the Reach Stacker .

09/06 - Slide 7

Frame

 Simple Box type design.

 Re – routing of hydraulic hoses and wire harnesses.

Cab Ergonomics

Ergonomics are greatly improved

The new Cab improves:

 operator comfort
 improved visibility
 reduced noise

Cab Ergonomics

Following features are standard:

 Joystick (Pilot hydraulic operated for lift / lower, extend & retract)
 Load moment indicator (3B6)
 Double wiper system for front screen (window)
 Air Conditioning

Following features are available as an option:

 Movable bracket at the right hand side of the drivers seat for
installing of additional equipment.

Air filtration is common to the 36 – 52 ton product

Due to the high cost of engines

used, a secondary safety filter will be
included as a part of the air filter
system to ensure clean air is
delivered even if the main filter is
compromised.

The engine de – rates / shut down at

(engine protection system):
 High engine coolant temperature
 High intake manifold temperature
 High engine oil temperature
 Low engine oil pressure

Drive Axle: Axle Tech

 Model PRC 7534 W4H
 Outboard planetary end reductions
 Wet disc brakes with cooling
 Full hydraulic actuation

The drive axle is common to the existing 36 – 52tons CH front loader.

Please note:
The 335 hp version will have a different drive axle as it has hardened
spines to cope with the higher performance.
