ABOUT THE

SHAREKHAN

Sharekhan is one of the leading retail brokerage firms in the


country.
It is the retail broking arm of the Mumbai-based SSKI
[SHRIPAL SHEWANTILAL KANTILAL
ISWARNATH LIMITED].
Sharekhan Ltd. is a brokerage firm which is established on 8th
February 2000.
It has one of the largest networks in the country with 1200+ share

shops in 400 cities.

etc by ‘Business Today’, January 2004 edition.
It was awarded ‘Top Domestic Brokerage House’ four
times by Euro and Asia money.

customers Award 2005”.

Research Findings
 From the survey it was found that most of them are
aware equity trading.
 People generally prefer to invest in mutual funds and
other less risky investments.
 The maximum amount of awareness ,which has been
generated,is through newspaper and TV .Therefore ,the
company should take care of it ,as it can be one of the
potential media for advertisements.
Recommendations
More Branches- Need to open more branches to be a
topper in market because it has low distribution network.
Less time – They should try to make some arrangements
to reduce account opening time by verifying documents
at branch itselves.
Link bank AC-Linked as many accounts as client wants
to its online account.
Customer Satisfaction-The company should focus on the
customer satisfaction not just taking money from their
pockets.
