Perhitungan dan Analisa Kemampuan Thruster dan DP Capability Plot
(Kondisi Terkini Thruster)

• This DP capability plot is calculated based on the


actual condition of thruster in RV Baruna Jaya II (150
kW Bow Thruster dan Cpp )
• If the DP system will be installed based on actual
condition, the manoeuvring performance is very
limited
• Needs to install additional stern thruster and bow
thruster

• First alternative configuration is increase the power of


bow thruster to 450 kW
• According to DP Capability plot analysis, the system can
accommodate the force from head waves. However, its
still lacking the manouevring capability in stern area

• Second alternative configuration is by increase the power
of bow thruster to 450 kW and install stern thruster with
450 kW
• With this configuration, the thrusters can accommodate
the force from 0 – 360 degree
• However with this configuration the ship hull must be re-
designed
