 Tulsi-Krta Ramayana

 The Tulsi-Krta Ramayana is a Gujarati adaptation of

Tulsidas' Ramcharitamanas

 The Tulsi-Krta is adapted in the 17th century, by the poet

4
DIFFERENCES

It is not just a facetious novel but contains within itself the novelty of human life,
lofty ideals and a record of the meritorious deeds of Raghuvamsa Rama, based on
facts
His story, on the other hand, should not be repeated to a perverse knave who does
not pay heed to Hari's storey, nor to a selfish or lustful man who does not worship
the Lord of all animals and inanimate life. They are the only ones deserving to hear
Sri Rama's account, as they have a deep urge to commune with holy men.Only
those who are faithful to their preceptor's foot, lovers of propriety, and Brahman
votaries are fit to hear it.

IMPACT AND MESSAGE TO SOCIETY

 The role of morality in a citizen's life and in the values

of the establishment of a state or a working society was
its most significant moral force.

dharma, or doing one's duty

6

in the 16th century. There is also a reference of a
Ramayana being translated into old Marathi during the 12th
or 13th century.

 Panchavati is the setting for the entire Aranya Kanda of

the Ramayana. Nashik is a city in Maharashtra's
northwestern zone, situated at the foothills of the
Western Ghats and on the banks of the Godavari River.
