Overview of the program

• The two-year PG program (PGDM) is an action oriented,


outcome-based program, week-end program which will
admit participants with Innovative ideas and problem-
solving mindset with access to preincubation and
incubation support to convert ideas to business model and
traverse a path of entrepreneurship and practice venture as
part of academic curriculum to obtain the post graduate
program.

Start-up Ecosystem at the Campus

• Centre for Advancing & Launching Enterprises (CrAdLE),


a Technology Business Incubator, located on campus, is
catalysed and supported by the National Science and
Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, DST,
Govt. of India.
• AIC, SSIP, NI , Empresario, Start up
• Eligible students work on their business ideas
individually or in a team in the co-working space at
CrAdLE and interact with various industry experts and
government officials, bank and financial agencies, etc. to
convert their ideas into a viable venture

Projects: DPR/FYPP
• A Bankable Detailed Project Report (DPR) needs to be prepared by the
students with regard to their ventures. Students of the Family Business
Management specialisation alternatively prepare a Five Year Growth
Perspective Plan (FYPP) for growth of their respective family firms. The
final project report(s) are assessed by the panel of experts comprising
faculty, industry experts and bankers.

• The DPRs/FYPPs can be submitted to IDBI Bank Ltd. and Small


Industrial Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for working capital and
term loan respectively for the venture.

• EDI provides platform to innovators and start-ups from all across the
country, in finding business partners and/or financiers/ investors.

New Enterprise Initiation Grant for
Students

EDI has set up the New Enterprise Initiation Grant to reach out with
financial support to students whose project ideas are innovative and viable.
Students with promising business proposals can apply for this fund at the
Institute and a panel of experts, bankers and EDI faculty assess the viability
and potential of the project before sanctioning the start-up funds.

Demographic Distribution of EDII Alumni
EDII is rich in diversity and
represents 27 states of India
Till date 1572 (1217 PGDM-BE and
355 PGDMN/PGDM-DS) students
have successfully graduated from
the institute. EDII alumni is also
present in countries such as Iraq,
Nepal, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Laos and
Cambodia

Success Stories
The Registered Alumni Association consisting of around 1,600+ members is rich
in diversity in terms of its students representing sectors ranging from
manufacturing to services and not-for-profit enterprises.
A recent survey conducted on our Alumni revealed that 78% of EDII alumni
have chosen entrepreneurial career; out of which 54% have joined family
businesses; 23% have created new business ventures and 1% have set up social
enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduates in any discipline, from a nationally


recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks
at UG level.
• CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT
• Students are waiting for the final result can also apply
by uploading an undertaking to submit before
appearing for the Personal Interview (PI).
• Program is best suited for students having an
entrepreneurial mind-set, passion for innovation and
strong determination to build and run a start-up.
