• Tolerance
- is a person's diminished response to a substance, which occurs
when the substance is used repeatedly and the body adapts to
the continued presence of the substance

- is a condition that results when a person ingests a substance that
can be pleasurable but the continued use/act of which becomes
compulsive and interferes with ordinary life responsibilities, such as
work, relationships or health

• Stimulants
– a substance that raises levels of physiological or nervous

brain

– a substance that can make a person see, hear, smell, feel or
taste things that aren’t really there or are different from how
they are in reality

blocks the feeling of pain

– a man-made version of testosterone, a hormone that helps build
bigger muscles
• FASD
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Occurs when a pregnant woman
consumes alcohol, this can result in the child having cognitive
disabilities such as learning issues, impulse control , and behavioural
issues .
