regards to the Social Media post during

Chapter I
Introduction
• Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a
newly discovered coronavirus (WHO. 2020).
• The COVID-19 pandemic has forced leaders in politics and at universities
to take drastic measures that affect how citizens and students interact
and socialize with each other.
• In many countries around the world, individuals are required to reduce
physical contact to others outside one’s household (social distancing)
(Lancet. 2020.).
• While social distancing measures may successfully slow down the spread
of the infection and relieve the public health systems (Emerging Infectious
Diseases. 2006), they may eventually increase the social isolation of
students and affect their psychological well-being and mental health
(Nature Human Behaviour. 2020).
Statement of the Problem
• The research questions that served to guide this research study are the
following:
1. What are the different views of the students that they express posted through
social media?
2. What are the different views and concerns of the students to COVID-19?
3. What are the factors affecting Social Media post of Medical Laboratory
Science students during COVID-19:
a)Economic
b)Spiritual
c)Physical
d)Mental
