Analysis of Zone A, B & C in View of Permeability, Resistivity and Bore Hole Wall Condition From Log Data Given in Log Sheet
ZONES
Flushed zone: A zone near to the well bore / zone in which the
fluid invade.
Transition zone: A zone between flushed and undisturbed zone
.
Undisturbed zone: zone in which no fluid invaded
LOG DATA INTERPRETATION
OF ZONE A,B,C
ZONE “A”:
Bore hole environment: Caliper reading is on the left
side of the bit size which shows and under gauge hole
means mud cake has been formed .
Permeability: Permeable formation as fluid invaded.
Resistivity: As formation is porous it’s resistivity value
is low .
As MNI and MLN also shows the less resistivity value
Means the formation is sandstone
Zone “B”:
Bore hole environment: As the caliper reading is on bit
size line therefore there is no change is formation or it’s
an on gauge hole.
Permeability: Well consolidated formations which
means Non-permeable formations and no fluid is
invaded in formation.
Resistivity: Lithification of unconsolidated sediments
into sedimentary rocks reduces porosity so formation is
resistive , as resistivity line deflect to right.
MLN=MNI which means they both measure in same
depth.
ZONE “C”
Bore hole environment: caliper graph deflect to right
which shows that the hole size is greater than bit size
hole is out gauge hole happens because Formations is
weak and cave in (Rock salt).
Permeability: Rock salt is crystal mineral have no
permeability and porosity.
Resistivity: Formation is non porous so the resistivity
value is high but in graph MLN and MNI are showing
less resistive values it’s because log record data after the
cave in occour.
