We use the Simple Past Tense when we talk
about the activities or the actions which
happened in the past.
• Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian
musician and composer. He lived from 1726
to 1761. He started composing at the age of
five and wrote more than 600 pieces of
music. He was only 35 years old when he
died.
• Formula :
1. (+) Subject + verb-2 + object/adverb
(-) Subject + didn’t + verb-1 + object/adverb
(?) Did + subject + verb-1 + object/adverb
2. (+) Subject + was/were + object/adverb
(-) Subject + was/were + not + object/
adverb
(?) Was/were + subject + object/adverb
i.e : (+) Rini bought a new shirt yesterday
(-) Beni didn’t make a kite two days ago
(?) Did Amir bring a dictionary last week?
