The Genesis of GSK Motorsport

By Gurjit Singh Kochar

It is said that ever since GSK MotorSports came into existence, it has been a privilege for those who wanted to
establish a professional yet friendly bond with them. Gurjit Kochar, the owner and founder of GSK Motors, is
always very aware of the passions of the people around him, and if the passion is for motorsports, he would
always be very attentive to give company to those acquaintances.

It had been known that very close contact of Mr.Kochar wanted to participate in circuit racing with a saloon car.
After searching a lot, he could find a car which was very poorly maintained but had shown a lot of potentials. He
took the transformation of the VW Golf GTI in such a way that it belonged to them in the next few days. He
undertook the whole process of the transfiguration with the utmost zeal and enthusiasm. He rebuilt the
automobile with newer performance parts for the engine and upgraded braking systems to ensure the car
performing the fullest. That race saw the car finishing in the 7th position at the Dubai Autodrome competing
against Hondas, BMWs, and Seats.
Gurjit started fine-tuning the car, even more, bagging more wins and experiences. Eventually, a circuit was
formed in the name of Gurjit Singh Kochar Dubai in Abu Dhabi, named as Marina circuit. The vehicles used in
the circuit were transported constantly to and fro using the local recovery services, keeping together their
supporters and mechanics. Among a competition of over twenty cars, Gurjit Kochar Dubai and his team
qualified well into the first top half of the field.
Gurjit had all along been a shout of encouragement to his team right from the warm-up to the first race at the grid.
The race is started with the flashes of five individual lights separately and once they were on, the lights went out
suddenly. Gurjit’s car having started in the 8th position, could manage to stay at 5th, mid of race. Golf has pretty
good speed, managed to slip into 3rd position, wearing out two other cars that were a constant fight. After an
intense fight, Gurjit Kochar Dubai and his team could manage their first podium win in the third place. The
head of GSK Motorsport, Gurjit was seen to be elated by the win. The team was very grateful for Gurjit gave
them such a great opportunity and beyond comprehensive support that could make them reach this position.
