 A capsule endoscopy is a procedure that involves
swallowing a small capsule, which is the size of a
large vitamin pill.

Endoscopy Inside the capsule is a tiny wireless camera that takes

pictures as it passes through the small intestine.

on a belt around your waist.
It gathers information about the digestive system as
it travels through it, transmitting the information to a
receiver worn by the patient.

Why did I chose this device
• I chose the endoscopy capsule because I felt that is was a very
interesting device that I didn’t know existed. I think that the idea of
having a pill sized camera being swallowed and taking pictures and
footage of your intestine is quite amazing and fascinating.
• I also choose it device because it can help people find out if they are
having any illness or serious problems in their intestine.
• I felt that this device is a lot easier then having to have a long tube
going through your throat
The key points that I learnt from this device.
• I leant that is device can be used for nearly every single age group.
• I also learnt that this device takes 18 picture per second and is in the
body for about 8 hours
• I learnt that it can help people actually see what the issue and the
problem is with their digestive system.
