1. Introduction
• Android is the ideal platform for developing application due to the wide variety of devices it
supports.
• Teacher Classroom Assistant in Android is an application which mainly helps to improve
communication between Teacher and Student.
• Teacher Classroom Assistant is an education app for helping and saving the time of teacher by
storing the attendance of the student and make new schedule of the class and creating day by
day notes and calculate the C.G.P.A of any student and storing the information of student.
• This app allows the teacher to have an easier time arranging classes/meetings and having the
control over their particular class.
2. Problem Definition
• Considering the recent situations due to the pandemic, it’s been difficult for teachers to keep a
track of students and manage classes while working from home.

• Due to this it has become difficult to keep a track of attendance, store student information and
assign work to the students.

• Drawbacks of the existing system

 Maintenance of the system is very difficult.

 Difficult to manage and keep track of work.

 Time consuming
3. Proposed System

• To make matters easy, we are proposing an android application to improve the communication
between Teacher and Student.

• This Android app for teachers support functionalities such as adding student to each
class/department, save notes, make schedules for classes etc.

• This system includes the following modules:

o Teacher

o Student
Teacher Module
The teacher module consists of the following-

 Attendance: The Attendance module is added to take attendance of every student and store it
in the database.

 Profile: Profile Module provides support to view and edit student data, along with activity to
add new students. This also allows the teacher to have access to all student information.

 Modify/Add: This module is used to modify/add data like the student’s attendance, marks,
roll no, name, contact info, admission number.

The teacher will access all the student information and go through her/his Time table as their
daily activities as scheduled. She/he can send or receive any kind of information by using the
Notification tab.
Student Module
• The Student will have access to all information like Subjects, Faculty, and Schedule and will
be able to view notes and other information sent by teacher.

• The student can send or receive any kind of information sent by the teacher from his/her end
like Clarification, Queries, Notice by using the Notification tab.
More features
• This app will include features like scheduler which is basically used to schedule a particular
event/class/meeting so teachers won’t be needing another application as reminder.

• This inbuilt feature is used for scheduling a meeting/classes using calendar so you don’t have
to inform the students about certain classes/meetings using any third party messaging app.

• The teacher can also view a particular student’s marks and attendance just by entering his/her
admission number.
4. Requirements

• The project will be coded using Java.

• To create and maintain all database we will be using MySQL to write query to store data or
record of project.

• The toolkit which will be used is Android SDK and the IDE will be Android Studio.
• Hardware requirements:
 i3 Processor or higher.
 1GB-RAM or more.

 500 GB Hard Disk or more.

• Software requirements:
 Windows 7 or higher/ Mac OS Sierra or higher.

 Android Studio.

 Android SDK.

 MySQL.
5. Merits and Demerits

• Merits:
 Easy accessibility: User can easily access the data without much hassle.
 User friendly: The system will be very user-friendly to use.

 Easy maintenance: The teachers can maintain the data very easily.

 Efficient and reliable: It is more efficient and reliable to keep a track of the students and
classes.
• Demerits:

 The user needs to provide the input correctly or it may give error.
6. Conclusion
• The application we proposed will provide the means to ease the difficulties faced and will be
very improve the relationship between the teacher and student while providing efficient and
user friendly interface.

• The entire project will be developer-friendly and customizable.

• The developer will be able to integrate and tweak this app according to their requirement , so
there is a scope for future developments and addition of new features.
