INTRODUCTION

1. A software company based in Boise, Idaho.


2. Founded by Mossberger while he was finishing his MBA program.
3. The company build a product that helped to minimize waste and maximize ingredient
freshness.
4. Because of product quality the firm had a rapid growth.
5. Mossberger was committed to create a highly engaged and stable work force.
SLACK

1. A software that is used by the FtT to have better communication between employees.
2. Unprofessional use of Slack by some of the employees.
3. Personal e-mail and messaging system linked to work computer.
4. CEO thinking to reiterate FtT’s technology and communication policies.
CONFLICT

1. Office manager and the Chief Executive got off on the wrong foot.
2. CEO posted an ad on Craigslist for an office manager position.
3. Hillary Showalter gets this news from another colleague.
4. Seeing inappropriate behavior of Showalter, Mossberger fired her.
5. After being fired Showalter threatens Jensen to call her lawyer.
PROTECTED SPEECH & UNPROTECTED SPEECH

1. Tram Nguyen was consulted for few legal reasons.


2. Reviewing FtT’s policies for privacy issues with the new technology Slack.
3. According to NLRBESP employees have right to communicate with coworkers.
4. Those employees are not protected who threaten violence, are unethical and
unprofessional.
EMPLOYEES COMMUNICATION

1. For internal communication company owns a software.


2. Employees can communicate better by using slack.
3. The systems on which the employees communicate with each other, are the property of
the company.
4. Personal communication via personal cellphones is not a property of FtT.
CONCLUSION

1. FtT is young and vibrant software company that had grown quickly.
2. Some employees couldn’t fit in due to this high intensity of growth.
3. These employees made a hostile work environment and degraded other employees as
well.
4. Inappropriate communication was held between these employees and they were
breaking company policies.
5. Serious actions were taken by the CEO and HR Vice President.
