It is possible for them to get the main idea of each question by the context,
but, if necessary, they can ask the teacher or click the online dictionary link
for help with unknown words.

students can be invited to talk about these characteristics.
In order to review present simple, students are going to get in touch with
some passages taken from real blogs on the internet. Tell your students to
analyze them and circle the correct verb form to complete the text. There

In order to review mixed vocabulary, students are supposed to take this online
memory game which mixes images and words.
Students are now going to have a mixed written and oral task on giving and asking
personal information. First they have to complete the chart with basic information
about themselves, and then start using the topics as guidelines to form questions and
think of possible answers. If working in pairs is possible, one student forms and asks
questions and the other answers them. The activity also works as a pre-writing activity
for the next task.

This activity aims at helping students practice one important ability: writing. Help and guide
students through the activity, for this is an exercise many students have a tough time with, even
in their mother language. Start the activity by asking those basic questions: Who is writing? For
whom? What is the goal of the writer? Etc. It is fundamental to show them the importance of
writing: communicating ideas to everybody! It is also mandatory to establish a friendly and nice
environment for it, showing them writing is not so difficult as they think it is, and that it can also be
fun! Tell them now it is time for them to write their own blog! To do so, they first need to read and
follow the steps (if necessary, help them with Portuguese translation) in the website. There are
also some other resources (images, for instance) that can make up for their limited repertoire.
There will also be a model for them which will work as a pre-writing activity.
