A SHOE THAT FITS

THE IDEA

• Arthur, an academic outgoing teen turns 18 and wants to find

out about his biological father. Having been adopted at birth he
is curious to know where he gets his differences from.
• Connor his older non-biological brother helps him track down his father
only to find out that he is a raging alcoholic that gets himself into petty
crime. Being the protective brother Connor doesn’t tell Arthur this and
Connor sets up a wild goose hunt to look for his dad.
• Arthur finds out the truth and figures out where his dad is. Goes
to meet him and is very disappointed at the stench of the utter
failure and alcoholic that stands before him. He soon realizes
that he never needed his dad because his father figure had been
there this whole time. Connor.
FEASIBILITY

• This film is definitely feasible as it doesn’t require difficult materials or technicalities it’s
a straight forward storyline that can be told through the actors and their phones. It wont
be difficult to find such actors as we have access to the drama students at Weston college.
The location has already been scouted and can be used twice to show different locations.
ISSUES WE COULD FACE AND SOLUTIONS

COVID
Covid is one of the biggest issues we will face as a production team so there will be
measures that will have to be put in place, all personnel will have to bring their own hand
sanitizer and they will also be sanitizer that is brought for those who forget or run out.
Equipment will be cleansed after each use and only used by the appropriate team member.
I.E only the camera man will hold and use the camera. We will keep a safe distance of 1
metre apart as and when we can. Filming may require members to have to be closer to each
other. Temperatures will be checked on arrival.
ISSUES WE COULD FACE AND SOLUTIONS

Weather
This may be an issue for example if it rains we will have to bring waterproof protectives for
our equipment. I would suggest that we continue filming through the rain and have spare
days for filming if we need to re shoot any scenes. Some of this film will be shot inside so
on rainy days we will get the inside stuff shot and on dry days we can shoot outside. We
will plan ahead and make sure the weather updates are checked everyday up until and
during production. This gives us time to prepare for any unexpected forecasts.
ISSUES WE COULD FACE AND SOLUTIONS

Cars and People – Pedestrians can get in the way of filming, but we will have to sign post
the area and make people aware we are filming. Because it is a public’s activity site there
will be background noise but this could add to the natural atmosphere of the film.

LOCATION

• Mendip Snow Sport Centre – a perfect location that has a building we could use as the
house that has all the props needed already. It is surrounded by woodland area which
could be used as ‘ the searching ’ part of the film.
• It’s well rounded and could be made to look like multiple locations this is useful so that
we don’t have to move the crew around as many of us do not drive. Its an easy option
yes but its suits our team.
