The document describes Hannah Long's process for manipulating a movie poster. She removed the background, healed blemishes with the spot healing brush tool, added a scar with the lasso tool, used Photoshop fonts for the title over a dark red background, smudged the eyes to look abnormal, and used the burn tool to darken the hand and add tones to the face to look like the subject had been held hostage.

process, was removing the background from the original picture as this gives me a fresh new surface where I can experiment and add different fonts or colours. Spot healing brush tool
For this part I used the spot
healing brush tool to remove any blemishes or spots from my face. Adding cuts to the face
For this part, I used the lasso tool to
create a scar like cut. The lasso tool was really good to use because it enabled me to make it look more realistic then a image off the internet. Font – title
For the title I used the Photoshop fonts
because it allowed me to edit it more easier then from websites online. I created a white text then done the outline of the letters in red to add more definition. Background
For the background I went for a dark red
which had elements of black in as I felt it fitted the theme of horror and fitted my idea. I like how it looks like there is spots of blood on the background as it makes it more horror related. Eye changes
For this part I used the tool smudge
to create a abnormal effect on the eyes as in horror movie posters there is a lot of morphing to do with the face and body so I wanted to try it out on the eyes. Burn tool
For the hand I used the burn
tool as that created a darker colour to the hand and I wanted to make the hand look dirty and make it look like the hand of a killer.
I also used the burn tool on
the face to create the look to show that she's been held hostage and to create dark tones.
