CHAPTER 1
1.1 Introduction

• ICT(Information and Communication Technology) makes many ordinary


tasks uncomplicated and facilitates communications from virtually any part
of the globe.
• ICT in education, will link an upward shift in the quality of people’s lives by
improving learning and teaching.
• Through this unique teaching method, student will gain a genuine learning
experience, collaboratively constructing their own knowledge and applying
their learnings in a real-world context.

1.5 Specific Object

• Firstly, our goal is for students and teachers to appreciate and prioritize ICT
as the way of learning to ensure the development of ICT skills for active and
meaningful learning.
• Secondly, for some universities, major problems they were facing were lack
of qualified teachers and equipment.
• Thirdly, ICT will lead to better acquisition of knowledge and skills, better
presentation, students will be motivated, will enjoy the subjects, improves
communication and will encourage their comprehension and interest.
• Fourthly, students will be distracted or confuse, consuming of time, health
and mental issue, abusive use.
• Fifthly, it has a great impact in our daily lives, make companies to be
successful, helps us to communicate, gives entertainment, gives us job and
make our lives better.

• the company can make the business easier to happen with the client,
supplier and the distributor to the company . It is also very important in our
daily lives. The lack of appropriate information at the right time will result in
low productivity, low quality research works, and waste of time to pursue
information and even to do research which actually others had done or in
other countries. Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with our daily needs..
• The use of ICT techniques in learning is very positive influence on a
student’s learning capabilities as well. It is established that students reflect
in a very positivemanner towards work and education when they are using
computers to encouraging and motivating them to Soak in the knowledge.
Students who used technology to learn in school have an increased self-
esteem and self-confidence to The schools.

Review of Related Literature

FOREIGN STUDY

• This study is investigates the adoption of ICT by the univesities and impact it
makes on their academic performance.
• By using a quantitative research approach and the sample size of 1000
students to four Saudi Universities.
• The findings were, ICT adoptation resulted in the improvement of the
performance of female students more than male.
• However, students’ IT major was found to be making no impact on students’
academic achievement.
