Rice production in the Worl

•Rice production in the World is increasing with each passing year. 467
million tons in 2011/2012 reached 476 million tons in 2012/2013, 472 million
tons in 2013/2014. The world's most rice producing countries are as follows.
China > India > Indonesia > Bangladesh > Vietnam > Thailand is the order of
the most producing countries. Production in the World. Production in deep
water conditions. Rice grows in deep water-covered soils. The depth of this
water is over 50 cm and can even reach up to 5 meters. In this way, only
certain types of rice can be grown.
Rice production in the Turkey

•Paddy planting areas in Turkey have become increasingly common and rice
production has increased. In 2009, production in Turkey on a rice basis was
450 thousand tons. This amount increased to 516,000 tons in 2010 and
540,000 tons in 2011. In 2012, 528,000 tons of rice were produced again. Rice
production in 2013 is 540 thousand tons. Cultivation type in our country.
Watered production. Rice is grown in areas covered with water, in short,
watered by rain or watered with irrigation applications.The depth of water
must be between 5 and 50cm.
Rice tradet in Türkiye

•Turkey has not yet produced enough to meet its own consumption.
Therefore, imports are applied to meet the domestic market. In 2010, 535
thousand tons 2011 349 thousand tons 2012 263 thousand tons 2013 283
thousand tons iimported. Rice imports in 2013 cost 150$ million. Exports are
very limited and do not exceed 100 thousand tons. Turkey can export mainly
to countries such as Syria, Iraq,Lebanon, Egypt,İsrael, Jordan and Sudan.
The 98.000 tons of rice it exported in 2012 is 74 million dollars.

•Approximately 40-42 million tons of rice production in the world are


subject to international trade. In 2012 and 2013 39 million tons was 43 million
tons in 2014 and 41 million 2015. Asian countries make the biggest export of
rice exports. Asian countries are followed by the United States, South
America.

•Trade is an area I'm curious about. I chose this topic to learn and
curiosity because we are interested in agriculture and it was a tutorial
