We have an active pro bono practice which spans both institutional pro bono work as well as work for undertrials
and the underprivileged. It is something we encourage all our associates to actively participate in.
TOGETHER, WE GIVE BACK TO The Firm is actively involved with Toolbox India, a not-for-profit organization started with the purpose of offering
SOCIETY consulting services on a pro bono basis to other non-profits in change process management.
B&P also works with Shakti Dhara for the betterment of disadvantaged rural communities by providing them skill
training, such as computer labs and sewing training centres.
TRAINING
A Lawyer’s duties cannot be performed in a vacuum, nor can lawyers flourish in stagnation. At B&P, we have worked hard to create a
holistic, continuous training program for our lawyers. This includes:
A basic requirement for each lawyer, including Partners and Paralegals. This will also include technical training, such as

developing an understanding of company accounts, interpreting stock market deals, etc.
We encourage our lawyers to learn from their mistakes on every single assignment, to ask for constructive feedback and
take criticism in a positive spirit. Our Partners spend time on your training every single day. Bi-annually, you are given

the chance to sit with your Partner to undertake a more detailed analysis of your work and progress and speak freely
about your overall growth and development.
We bring in experts who have spent their lives working in a particular industry sector, to help us understand the specific

Effective communication is at the heart of being a good lawyer and we help you learn, among other things: how to

which for us is as important as any client work that you may execute.
YOU ARE NOT A NUMBER TO US
We look at you, not your grades - because personality defines a
lawyer, not numbers. Every person who joins our team does so with
their own personality and brings something different to the table.
The onus thereafter is on us to provide you with the training to
become the Ideal B&P Lawyer without having to change the
positive qualities that make you unique.
Everything you do adds to your qualifications, from your GPA,
to your prior internship experience, to your participation in co-
curricular activities. However, nothing takes away from your
application or disqualifies you in any way – apply if you have the
right attitude and we will assess you holistically.
WORK WITH B&P IN 2018
We are recruiting up to 16 graduates from the Batch of 2018.
Ensure your Recruitment Committee sends in the consolidated applications and profiles from your
law school by the 19th of January.
We will revert with the shortlisted students from your law school by the 25 th of January.
Your attendance for physical group interactions will be coordinated at either the Delhi or Mumbai
offices during the first 2 weeks of February.
One-on-one interactions will be conducted with the shortlisted students within the month of
February.
Your law school will be informed of the offers that we would like to make latest by the 28 th of
February.
If you want to take some time to make up your mind about what you truly want to do or get a better sense of how a law firm operates, apply to us for a 6-month
training contract.
It is also a great opportunity to those who not make it to the first list of selected associates. They get a chance to make an impression through a consistent
display of good quality work.
WORK WITH B&P IN 2019
We are offering 10 long term internship spots (per month), to the batch of 2019.
We are giving the students of the graduating batch of 2019 the chance to undergo an assessment internship with the Firm.
Students showing potential in their assessment internship will be made an offer to join the Firm as an Associate upon their
graduation.
• All assessment internships will be offered for a minimum period of 12 weeks, over the course of your final year.
• Their timing will be scheduled in the coming months depending upon your University guidelines and openings at the Firm.
Ensure your Recruitment Committee sends in the consolidated internship applications from your law school by
the 15th of March.
We will send across the list of shortlisted students from your law school by the 15 th of April.
Individual, telephonic interactions will be conducted with the shortlisted students within the month of April.
Your law school will be informed of the internships being offered, along with the timelines of the same, within the
month of April.
