• We have been learning about how to write a sentence.


• A sentence has many words in it, and we need a space
between each word so that the reader can tell where the
word begins and ends. This is called a finger space.
• Finger spaces in the right spots make it easier for people to
read what you wrote!

• This is my mom.
• I love my mom, so I want to write “I love my mom.” To go
with this picture.

• Let’s clap the sentence i love my mom.


• Clap for each word with me. “I-love-my-mom”.
• Show me with your fingers how many words are in that
sentence.

• That’s right! 4! So we will need a space between each word.
