Genre
Brooklyn 99 is a genre hybrid between comedy and crime. The
programme is comedy about the Brooklyn 99 police force and showcases
the lives of the characters in the 99 police force doing their jobs as
detectives and captains solving crime.
Camera
Wide shots are used to establish the location of the scenes in Brooklyn 99.
These shots appear normally each episode to show the of 99th precinct.
Waist and over the shoulder shots are used in desk/ standing conversations
between characters or Interrogating scenes in Brooklyn 99.
The tilt is used in Brooklyn 99 funny montages of a character e.g. a undercover
outfit.

Montage- A sequence of shots assembled in juxtaposition of one
another to create an emotional impact, condense a story or convey
an idea. B99 normally used these for a comedy purpose.
Roll- Graphics or text that moves up or down the screen. B99 used
these a lot with the montage being showed.
Audio
Sound Effects- Brooklyn 99 uses a range of sound effects like guns,
people talking in the background, mobile phones and other sound
effects you would get in a police station for their programme.

between the force and a criminal in B99 for
example a chase in a storage unit building.
Practical Lighting is used in B99 for normally
things like the light from a lamp or computer.
