ENERGY RESOURCES

MADE BY UMER
DARBARI 7C
WHAT ARE ENERGY RESOURCES?

 Energy resources are the opportunities an area

offers to generate electricity based on its
natural conditions and circumstances. Some
of these energy resources are obvious; an area
might contain coal, oil, wood, or gas.
What are renewable energy resources?

 Renewable energy, often referred to as clean

energy, comes from natural sources or
processes that are constantly replenished. For
example, sunlight or wind keep shining and
blowing, even if their availability depends on
time and weather.
WHAT ARE NON-RENEWABLE
ENERGY RESOURCES

 Nonrenewable energy resources

include coal, natural gas, Oil and nuclear
energy. Once these resources are used up,
they cannot be replaced, which is a major
problem for humanity as we are currently
dependent on them to supply most of our
energy needs.
Examples of renewable energy resources
 Solar energy.
 Wind energy.
 Hydro energy.
 Tidal energy.
 Geothermal energy.
 Biomass energy.
EXAMPLE OF NON RENEWABLE
ENERGY RESOURCES
 Oil
 Natural gas
 Coal
 Nuclear Energy
HOW RENEWABLE ENERGY
RESOURCES ARE FORMED?
 Renewable energy is energy that is collected
from renewable resources, which are
naturally replenished on a human timescale,
such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and
geothermal heat. ... Growth in consumption of
coal and oil could end by 2020 due to
increased uptake of renewable and natural
gas
HOW NON RENEWABLE ENERGY
RESOURCES ARE FORMED?
 Non-renewable energy comes
from sources that will run out or will not be
replenished for thousands or even millions of
years. Most sources of non-renewable
energy are fossil fuels. Fossil fuels were
created as the remains of marine creatures
decayed millions of years ago, under huge
amounts of pressure and heat
