Practice 1
“SPACE RACE”
 Make 2 teams
 One team is the ‘Rocket’ and one team is the ‘Alien Ship’
 The teams take turns in choosing a number and then making the sentence.
 If the sentence is correct, click on the Rocket / Alien Ship and it will move.
 The first team to arrive at Mars is the winner.

Practice 2
“COMPARISON CHAIN”

o Divide your class into teams.

o Pick a topic; ex: animals
o Set a timer for an appropriate amount of time...say 1 minute.
o Pick which team goes first.
o Pick which student goes first.
o When T say “go” the first student must use the target language to make a sentence. Ex, “Dogs are bigger
than cats."
o Then the student immediately to beside them has to link to the second adjective in student 1’s sentence to
form a new sentence of their own. Cats are smarter than birds.
o Continue around the group members until the timer expires. The most important rule is that in this game
is that, students can not reuse any comparative adjectives. So, T should display new list of comparative
adjectives as presented in the next slide.
o Add up the the number of points made that’s their score.
o Reset the timer and change the topic of the nouns to (food) and repeat the process with the second team.

Encourgae the Ss to use is/ isn’t’ are/ aren’t.

helmet. (2) Helmet isn’t heavier than water galloon. (3).
Water galloon isn’t smaller than hat.
 When they are ready, they can speak up about their
comparisons.

Accuracy is assessed

 Display the per-two pictures.

 Students think of a sentence to compare the two pictures.
 Ask them to compare the things in a sentence written on a
piece of paper. So, Ss should prepare their stationery stuff.
 When all students have their sentence written on paper, ask
them to check their writings to avoid typo.
 Then, Ss take a picture of it and send it privately to the T in
WA.
 Students get one point for a correct sentence.
 T could directly corrects the Ss through private chat.
