CHAPTER II
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION

Sapang Palay National High

School (SPNHS) is the
largest high school in the
City of San Jose Del Monte.
INTRODUCTION

The factors affecting the

population of students in
SPNHS are:
(1)Its ideal location
(2)Quality of education
INTRODUCTION

Student sectioning is normally

practiced in schools and its
two types are Heterogeneous
and Homogenous.
INTRODUCTION

The class type of the K to 12

Basic Education Curriculum
(K-12 BEC) of SPNHS this
school year is Homogenous.
INTRODUCTION

The researcher aims to know

the preferred class type of
teachers, their ratings on both
class types, and opinions.
INTRODUCTION

This study will benefit

teachers to make their job
easier and students to have
enough knowledge about this.
CHAPTER III
METHODOLOGY
METHODOLOGY

The researcher conducted a

face-to-face interview on the
interviewees.
METHODOLOGY

Voice recorder of a cellular

phone and wrote down notes
on a clean sheet of pad paper
was used to collect the data.
METHODOLOGY

Figure 1. Interviewing teachers

METHODOLOGY

The percentile measure of

position for grouped data was
used to analyze the data where
P was determined to get the
75

75% of the data.

CHAPTER V
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION
AND RECOMMENDATION
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

The 36 (90%) teachers favored

Heterogeneous class type since
it will help the teachers to have
a better discussion and an
interactive class.
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

The 4 (10%) teachers chose

Homogenous class type because
this will be a challenge for
them, yet it does show the true
essence of teaching.
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

75% of the teachers gave less

than or equal to 9-10 as their
ratings for Heterogeneous and
5-6 for Homogenous.
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Most teachers in the JHS of

SPNHS preferred
Heterogeneous as a class type
for K-12 BEC.
DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

The researcher recommends to

also ask the students’ actual
performance and experiences
in class.
