Share Price Chart of Walmart as on 23.11.2020 13
After observing the last two slides, you can see a fluctuation in the Revenue and Share Price of Wal-Mart.
Here we will be understanding the reasons for the fluctuation in following data.

Reasons for the Fluctuation in the Share Price and Revenue of Wal-Mart
Stock prices change everyday by market forces. By this we mean that share prices change because of supply and
demand. If more people want to buy a stock (demand) than sell it (supply), then the price moves up. Conversely, if
more people wanted to sell a stock than buy it, there would be greater supply than demand, and the price would fall.

Demand for the share causes price fluctuation

If the supply of a particular company’s share is more than the demand in the stock market, it will sell at a lower price.
The demand for a share is determined by several factors most of which are related to the yield from the share. If a
company pays 15% on its equity shares whereas the general expectation about the return in the industry is only 10%,
such a share will attract a large number of buyers.

News Article regarding falling stock price of Wal-Mart:

Walmart shares were lower Tuesday morning (as on 18 August 2020) , as the retail giant turned in a stronger-than-
