The document summarizes a student group project to design an analog calculator circuit in Proteus using operational amplifiers. The group members are listed. The calculator can perform eight types of operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, differentiation, integration, logarithms and exponentiation. The group added a signal generator and oscilloscope for input and output observation. The document compares the capabilities and limitations of Proteus and Pspice simulations for various circuit operations.

The calculator can perform eight types of operations
We have added signal
generator where we can input different types of waveforms, we have also added three types of pre-set sources for user convenience. We can observe inputs and outputs in digital oscilloscope. Adder Proteus Sub-circuits Subtractor Multiplier Divider Differentiator Subtractor Logarithm Proteus Sub-circuits Exponentiation Adder Demonstration of Subtractor Multiplier Proteus Outputs Divider Differentiator Demonstration of Integrator Logarithm Proteus Outputs Exponentiation Adder Demonstration of Pspice Multiplier Integrator Outputs(Dc inputs) Exponentiation Limitations Proteus Pspice
Adder and Value of Added or subtracted signal cannot cross
Subtractor biasing voltage in both proteus and pspice
Multiplier Proteus can't Pspice can multiply DC. But
multiply DC. Also for AC cases it doesn't give there is some smooth result as it oscillation during gives transient. direction change in ac.
Neither proteus nor pspice can multiply anything
with zero.
Differentiator , Output doesn't Output doesn't follow the
Integrator, follow the expected expected shape according to Logarithmic shape according to theory when ac input is and theory when dc provided, Exponential input is provided. some distortion occurs. But, Operation But, it generates it generates fairly accurate fairly accurate output when dc input is output when ac supplied. input is supplied.
