(182m) 597ft in the world. – Statue of Unity is situated near a small town called Kevadiya in Gujarat, India. – It is a colossal statue of former Indian 1st Deputy Prime minister “Sardar Vallabhai Patel” who was called as Iron man of India. – It was inaugurated by the Indian prime minister Narendra modi on 31st October 2018. Significance of Statue of Unity – It was designed by artist & Sculptor Ram V. Sutar – Project took 57 months to complete which was started in 2013 and ended in 2018. – Total cost INR(2989 Crores) of the Project, design, Construction & Maintenance was done by Indian Company Larsen & Toubro.
