Some tips about the game


• Strategy plays a major role in football
• American football is a contact or collision sport
• Playing by the rules, a defensive player makes physical
contact to bring the ball carrier to the ground
• Players must wear special protective equipment, such as
a padded plastic helmets, shoulder pads, hip pads and
knee pads
• American football is played on a field 360 by 160 feet.
The longer boundary lines are sidelines, while the shorter
boundary lines are end lines
