ABOUT THE COMPANY
  Nokia Corporation is one of the world's largest
telecommunications equipment manufacturers.
 Nokia was established in 1865. The name Nokia
originated from the river which flowed through the
town of the same name (Nokia).
 Headquarters are in Espoo, Finland .
 Nokia provides mobile communication equipment
for every major market and protocol, including
GSM, CDMA.
EARLY SUCCESS
 Nokia grew very well and almost become one of the best
trendsetting phone manufactures in the 90’s
 The Top 20 Nokia Handsets were included in the top 50
mobile phones
 Between 2003-2005 Nokia were enjoying a 70% market
share through the sell of its top model Nokia 1100 and
Nokia 1110

 Thought it would be successful even in year

3. Only Hardware, No Software
 Apple have 3 lakh apps by 2010
 Google had 1.25 million apps by 2010
 But, nokia didn’t even have 20,000 apps
4. Losing market share on both ends

5. Wrong leader
 Hiring CEO didn’t work for them
 Didn’t concentrated of competition

SOLUTION
Company solution:
 Adopt android OS
 Changed CEO
 Targeting medium range smartphone
 Reintroduce old models like Nokia 3310
Other solution:
 360 analysis of market and company
 Increase product innovation
 Remove myopia
 Recall old brand image on customers mind
 Implement right umbrella brand strategy
 Build strong distribution chain
KEY LEARNING
 Don’t treat to change
 Always look for opportunity and catch them
 Without innovation you can’t survive in
competitive market
 Change yourself according to market
 Leader must have willing to operate your business
for company and customer benefit not personal
CONCLUSION
 The Nokia have an opportunity to re-enter into the
market with strong manner
 Also they have different way to solve their
problems and issues and come back with its
solution.
 Nokia have threat to change and it is the biggest
reason for its failure in market.
