is the more or less systematic effort to
manipulate other people’s beliefs,
attitudes, or actions by means of symbols
(words, gestures, banners, monuments,
music, clothing, insignia, hairstyles,
designs on coins and postage stamps, and
so forth).

telling them that others are
doing the same thing.

A product is sold by using
words from famous people
or authority figures.

The product is sold by the
name or picture of a famous
person or thing but no words

the ad
