 INTRODUCTION
Material wastage in construction is notable issue in construction project .types of construction waste :concrete,wood,plastics,ferrous metal etc.
major causes of material wastage in construction
are;- workers mistakes, selection of low quality
products, determination of types and dimensions of
material without considering waste, lack of
information about types and sizes of materials on
design ,design changes and revisions, Over ordering
of material, inadequate storage protection, etc.

this problem is resulting in the deterioration and
damage to the materials the effect of construction
material wastage is the challenge of most
construction companies in Lideta sub city
Justification
This project will have reducing benefits
for construction material wastage that
will occur in lideta sub city office
building. Thus, this study include:
causes and effects of construction
material wastage.
 Scope of the project
The study is limited to Lideta sub city building office
building.
This research focused on the construction material
wastage in construction.
For some material like formwork, H.C.B block and
reinforcement steel.
