– NDA Readiness Project

functions, stakeholder engagement and coordination, climate finance, fund
management, project development and management, M&E and reporting systems,

• 1.1c Support to review of design of NDA-led coordination mechanism (or support to


the integration of coordination mechanism into an existing mechanism) that meets
regularly and allows for an overview of all operational sectors – Completed!

• 1.1.d Sharing information, experience and lessons learned with other countries in the
region, e.g. through workshops, exchange visits, and/or online platforms -

1.2 No objection procedure established and implemented

• 1.2a Support to the NDA in developing a No Objection

between country and GCF (includes initial meeting
on bilateral agreement on privileges and

1.4 Monitoring, oversight and streamlining of climate finance
• 1.4a Support to design, review and endorsement for
process of monitoring and overseeing the streamlining of
climate finance flows (including GCF flows), includes initial
data collection, review of primary sources of climate
finance funds, initial outline of expected future finance
flows, all of which supports design, review and
endorsement of oversight mechanism that will maintain
regular data, identify gaps and reduce redundancy in
climate finance flows, and – Completed!

• 1.4b Training provided to NDA to undertake the above

2.1 Stakeholders engaged in consultative
processes

• 2.1 Government actors, Private Sector representatives,


National Associations, Civil Society Organizations,
Academia and others are identified through both a public
call as well as a review process which includes outreach to
relevant actors, are supported to provide input into the
design, review and endorsement of such a stakeholder
engagement process, and are made members to the
endorsed process – Completed!
2.2 Country programmes, including adaptation priorities,
developed and continuously updated
• 2.2a Desktop review of existing climate change, environmental,
and sectoral plans (NAPAs, NAMAs, Climate Change Strategies,
Finance strategies, agricultural, water, economic strategies,
private sector engagement, etc.) – Completed!

• 2.2.b Stocktaking of on-going projects and programmes to


develop initial outline of current priorities, likely funding
sources, and strategy for GCF engagement/Country programme
drafted (includes comparison to Fund’s Investment Framework)
– Completed!

• 2.2c Consultative review of country programme initiated -

2.3 Stakeholder consultations conducted with equal
representation of women

• 2.3 Specific guidelines for gender equality measures are


developed and integrated into 2.1 (Stakeholder process) -

Summary on Gender (Annexed to the Country Programme))
2.4 Annual participatory review of GCF portfolio in the country
organized

• 2.4 Support to two annual participatory reviews of GCF


pipeline and portfolio with local stakeholders, including
project affected-people (current or future), women, youth,
and civil society –Completed!
