outcome or result
Last month, I was in my grandmother’s house with my family. We stayed there
Orientation for three days. On the first day, I took a walk with my uncle to a river near the
house. I took off my sandals and dipped my feet in the water. It was cold and
refreshing. I can see some fish swimming because the water was so clear. After
that, my uncle was fishing and I helped him catch one. What I caught was a
crayfish, a small fish similar to shrimp but it has pincers. The weather was bad
and the rain was pouring so heavily on the second day so I didn’t go anywhere. I
was disappointed, but then I played inside the house with my cousins. We were
Events playing and having fun while it was raining. The rain finally stopped at night.
The third day was the best day I have in my life. That day was my birthday and
we were holding a party until evening. My grandmother even gave me a
gorgeous shoe as my birthday gift. I was so delighted. At night we went home
and on the way, I was sleeping with a smile on my face. I can’t wait to visit my
grandmother again.
Reorientation Text 1
a visit to Grandmother's House
It was early in the morning when five staff of the charity International
Orientation Animal Rescue (IAR) arrived at the forest. The forest was hazy with
smoke. They breathed through cloth masks as they searched for a
dehydrated-and possibly dying-orangutan and her infant seen the
previous night. A farmer reported seeing the mother and daughter
orangutans near a palm oil farm which was on fire. After several hours
Events searching through the haze, they finally found the pair. They used
anesthetics and medical check-ups to determine if the two orangutans
could survive in a safe zone away from the fires. These orangutans were
lucky because IAR got them before the smoke caused too much
Reorientation damage. The team took them to a safe zone on the island.
