Donald Arthur Glaser (September

21, 1926 – February 28, 2013) was
an American physicist, the winner
of the 1960 Nobel Prize in Physics
for his invention of the bubble
chamber used in subatomic particle
physics.
Function

In simple words the

particles transmit energy
to the particles of the
liquid, which then boils.
So there appear bubbles.
Usage

The Bubble chamber helps to

register particles, their
density, amount, energy (for
bubble size) and so on.
Drawbacks

The main
disadvantages of
the chamber are
the need to make
photos and large
size of camera.
