◤ Course Description
▪ The course provides an overview of the study of the
structure and functions of the human body.
▪ It correlates the functioning of the body with its structural
anatomy or morphology from organismic to cellular and
molecular levels.
▪ It deals with the various metabolic processes occurring in
the organs and organ systems as well as the biochemical
pathways involved therein to fully understand its role in
the survival of the organism.

▪ This covers the physiology of major systems of the

body including integumentary, skeletal muscular,
nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory,
digestive, urinary, and reproduction.
▪ Clinical correlates will also be included in the
discussion to prepare students in the medical field.
▪ Research studies will also be integrated to equip
students in their current understanding human
physiology.
