LOW ENENRGY AND PASSIVE BUILDINGS

ECONIMCS OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES

CONTENTS

1. INTRODUCTION.
2. THE PASSIVE HOUSES.
3. EVALUATION OF CONCEPT OF ENERGY
EFFICENT HOUSES.
4. PRESENTATION OF AVAILABLE
CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM.
5. CONCLUSION.
INTRODUCTION

Passive Housing main purpose is to save maximum

energy with maximum output .
This is big potential in the buildings sector to reduce
energy consumptions representing a significant amount
of global energy used.
This was first introduced and dissuced by Europe union.
Due to restriction of europe union together with ongoing
increase of energy prices
Its external walls, roofs, floors, windows and even main
entrance door are created for both passive and classical
with thermal protection of buildings (passive houses) .

HOUSES ARE INFLUENCED BY MANY FACTORS.

Shape of the building

The next important issuse is the shape of the building .

The ideal shape for this type of building should be
shperical in shape .
Hence , it is inapplicable shape for building industry.
Therefore, cubiod with longer side seated to south and
the roof slightly iclined to north is the optimal shape
for passive houses.
The no. of storeys floor is also required minimum
requirement is for two storeys building
Building envelope

Basic demands on the buildings envelope are maximaum

allowed transmittance U-values [w/m*m*k] of external
walls ,floors,roof areas and windows.
Massive construction is required .
Two types of consturction syestem work.
Velox system ,polystrene or cement bonded boards are
used made up of wooden chips.
Medmax system, polystrene is that plastic clips for joining
two sides
This protects the risk of thermal bridges in wall
structures.

Evaluation of whole concept of energy efficent houses

Heating in the passive houses is according to the

illustraion ensured.
Warm air heating system paired with the ventilation
system .
And ventilation system is connected to water
reservior.
The solar collector, partly coverd the energy needed
for water heating.
The fresh air entering building is preheated and in
summer cooled in ground by heat exchanger.
Presentation of available construction system

• Sand-lime bricks
• Ytong
• Medmax
• Novatop

• Sand –lime bricks construction are natural builing material made of lime ,sand and water .
• Due to high compression and hardening the sand –lime bricks have high level of bearing
strenght, density, sound transmission loss and thermal accumulation with low thickness of the wall.
• Ytong is type of aerated concrete.which are made up of lime, sand, cement and water.
• Have high copressive strenght with low density.
• Medmax is based on principle of shuttering made by grey ploysterenehis and neopor .its improvrs the
properties and reduce thermal conductivity’
• It was develop only for low energy and passive housing.
• Novatop is loaded bearing consturtion based on massive wooden components made from glued
laminated multi-layer wooden boards.
• The stucture is to diffusion open and air tight which have high acoustic and stability properties.
.
Conclusion

The aims of this project is to reduce the global

energy consumption.
The main concept of this project is to reduce energy
consumption within supplying minimum amount of
energy.
This building are high energy performance buildings.
Thermal contorl and aucostic control is the main aim
of this project.
This project can be said to be highly
efficent,economical,and energy saving.
