SETTING
Care provided by health professionals and self-care by the individuals in
the home account for the greatest portion of health care in the
community health services. To promote the individual’s optimal level
of functioning (OLOF), family health care is an important tool. The
community health nurses' role as care giver, coordinator of services,
facilitator, teacher, advocate are all of crucial importance in helping
the families for identifying and receiving appropriate care in the
family health care setting.
a variety of health care setting can be used for providing family health
nursing care. The community health nurse determines which
perspective and factors are most important with regard to specific
problem and then selects the appropriate setting for giving care to

family members .
