and Fathers

1 Juan 4:8

Ang sinumang hindi umiibig ay hindi nakikilala ang

 

Diyos, sapagkat ang Diyos ay pag-ibig.

Characters
Son 1 – Elder brother
Son 2 – The prodigal son
Father 1 – The loving faher of son 1 & son 2
Father 2 – Employer of son 2
 Luke 15 :11-32
V12- Son 2 thinks his father is a giver and he is right
Both sons have equal shares

V13 – the younger sons exposure is cosmopolitan, enjoys his life but
doesn’t harm anybody
V14 – a. runs out of money b. famine

V15-16- gentile community

4th character- employer of the younger son-
Father 2- whom works but gives him nothing despite work unlike
father 1 that gives everything
V17-19 – there comes realization.
He has confidence in his father
Wag mag alinlangan sa Diyos dahil Diyos siya ng pag ibig

V20 The father is expectant of the younger son’s return

Accepting and Reassuring.

V21 the son judges himself know our sins not others meanwhile the
Father did not.
 V22-24- the father does not condemn or judged
 Immediately dramatically restores the returning son
 Don’t complicate

 25-28 God wants to have a happy life

 29 – hindi siya humingi like the younger son. He is not at ease with his father.
 What does he think being a son?
 sonship?
 Ang lay pla ng loob niya sa ama kaya di sya humihingi
V30 physically present but spiritually far. (1 John 9:8)
Ang tunay na nakakakilala sa Diyos ay loving
The older son judges his brother and father
Mat. 25;24-25 – HINDI niya naenjoy yung peraand hindi nainvest.
Sa 2 mgkapatid mas naenjoy ng younger yung money.
Si older tingin niya sa tatay niya is slave driver like Mat 25:24-25
The older son thinks litle
Of his brother – sinner ,unworthy of acceptance
Father- maramot, slave driver, unjust, strict
Himself – unloved undeserving even of a small goat
Pero guniguin lang niya at yun ang nagging batayan ng knyang ginagawa
 Some of God’s people
 1 always working /serving slaving away but only to earn merits to God para may
pang sumbat
 2, always saying no to personal enjoyment and pleasure, because thinking of God
as unkind, na sadista ang Diyos.
 3. Judgemental to
 Jealous envious of resentfulof others who enjoy life
Older son
Shuns parties but secretly longs to have a good time

Lagi kasing frurstraed

4. Always favorably comparing themselves with others

V31- hindi sya binawalan pero pinili niya kasi wag mag enjoy
Do not impose your self righteousness to othrs
 V32 ressurection and being found is the focus
 Bakit pipillin mo ung mabigat
 Unsaid- you too have been lost and dead but you remain dead and unfound.
 Kapag nakakausap na mas matalino syo or nababasa na nakakadagdag ng talino,
kikitid ka.
 Isaiah 5:21
 If a person says I was wrong is wise
 Son2
 Spends wastes his fathers money in enjoyment
 Enjoys the father’s boundless love
 Hungry because of famine and lost money
 Works for maramot father and got nothing
 Come to his senses about himself
 Son 1 wastes his fathers money by not enjoying
 Needless deprivation
 Works to father 1 but did not try to enjoy
 Did not come to his senses

 Choices are determined by our intellect, interests, principles
