Urology ward:
• The branch of medicine and physiology concerned with the function and disorders of
the urinary system is called urology.
Medical Definition of Central serous retinopathy (CSR)
• Central serous retinopathy (CSR): a condition in which fluid builds up beneath the
retina of the eye, leading to distorted vision. The retina is the tissue lining the back of
the eye that sends vision signals through the optic nerve to the brain.
Mortuary
• a room or building in which dead bodies are kept, for hygienic storage or for
examination, until burial or cremation.
• Physiotherapy
• the treatment of disease, injury, or deformity by physical methods such as

treatment of disorders of the head and neck, including particularly
the ears, nose, and throat. ENT doctors are also called
otolaryngologists.

• The branch of science and medicine concerned with the sense of
hearing.

• Pediatrics:

derived from two Greek words: (pais = child) and (iatros = doctor or
healer).
Neuropathology:
• Neuropathology is the study of disease of nervous system tissue,
usually in the form of either small surgical biopsies or whole-body
autopsies.

• The medical specialty devoted to the study, diagnosis and treatment of
disorders of the digestive system.
• Dialysis:
• The process of removing waste products and excess fluid from the
body. Dialysis is necessary when the kidneys are not able to adequately
filter the blood.

care medicine.

• Dermatology : The branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis,

• The neurological study of the eye.
• Orthopedics:
• Orthopedics is the field of medicine concerned with the study and
treatment of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine,
joints, and muscles. Orthopedics mainly deals with correction of
disorders and deformities related to the musculosketal system;
hence, orthopedics is central to the treatment of back pain.
• Electrophysiology:
• The biomedical field dealing with the study of electric activity in the
body. Electrophysiology includes the study of the production of
electrical activity and the effects of that electrical activity on the
body.
• Cardiac pacing :involves the fitting of a pacemaker to regulate the
heart rate. - A pacemaker is a small, battery-operated device that
enables the heart to maintain a regular rhythm. - Some pacemakers
are permanent (internal) and some are temporary (external).
• Oncology:
• The term oncology literally means a branch of science that deals with
tumours and cancers. The word “onco” means bulk, mass, or tumor
while “-logy” means study.
• Radiation oncology:
• The medical specialty that is involved in the use of radiation (X-rays,
gamma rays, or electrons) to treat cancer.
