PIPs
• Full Form: Price Interest Point
• A pip is smallest measure of change in a currency pair in the forex market
• A pip is what we consider a “point” for calculating profits and losses

Example:
If EUR/USD moves from 1.1050 to 1.1051, that .0001 USD rise in value is ONE PIP

When it comes to currencies paired with Japanese Yen (JPY)


A pip is calculated as 0.01.
For example:

If USD/JPY moves to 113.50 to 113.51 it is calculated as ONE PIP

 A commodities exchange is an exchange where
various commodities and 
derivatives products are traded

 Commodities are split into 2 types


Hard Commodities
Soft Commodities

 The major exchanges in the United States,


which trade commodities, are based in
Chicago and New York with several exchanges
in other locations within the country.
Types Of Commodities

are agricultural products or
livestock (such as corn,
wheat, coffee, sugar and
soybeans)

• HARD COMMODITES
natural resources that must
be mined or extracted (such
as gold, rubber and oil)
Global Indices

An index or indices refers to a statistical measure of change


in a securities market.
A market index is an aggregate value produced by
combining several stocks or other investment
vehicles together and expressing their total values against
a base value from a specific date. 

Example: Standard and Poor's 500 Index is computed by


combining 500 large-cap U.S. stocks together into one
index value.
BITCOIN
• Bit coin is a worldwide crypto
currency and digital payment
system.
•  First decentralized digital
currency.
• It was invented by an unknown
person or group of people under
the name “Satoshi Nakamoto”
 and released as open source
software in 2009.

 Leverage involves borrowing of money from the broker with an intention to invest

Indicators
• A moving average (MA) is a trend-following or lagging
indicator because it is based on past prices. 

Two basic and commonly used MAs are:


Simple Moving Average
Exponential Moving average
Simple Moving Average

price of the security for a number of
time periods and then dividing this
total by the number of time periods.

• A simple moving average smoothes


out volatility, and makes it easier to
view the price trend of a security.
Exponential Moving Average
• is similar to a simple
moving average, except
that more weight is given
to the latest data.

• The 12- and 26-day EMAs


are the most popular
short-term averages
Relative Strength Index
• most commonly used to
indicate temporary
overbought or oversold
conditions in a market.
• RSI oscillates between zero
and 100.
• RSI is considered overbought
when above 70 and oversold
when below 30.
