WHAT SKILLS NEED TO BE AN


EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR?
1. Listening skills - communication is not just about getting your ideas across, it is also
about actively listening to other people’s thoughts and taking them on board. People are
more likely to listen to you if you've shown them the same courtesy!
2. Presentation skills -To communicate effectively in the workplace, you need to be able to
present your information clearly. Presentation skills doesn’t just mean knowing how to put
a good set of PowerPoint slides together, though it can do, it also
3. Tailoring information to suit the audience -As well as being able to decide what
information is important and how to present it, a good communicator is able to tailor that
information to suit their audience.

VISUAL COMMUNICATION

By definition, visual communication is the practice of graphically representing


information to efficiently, effectively create meaning. There are many types of content in
the realm of visual communication, with examples including infographics, interactive
content and more. The possibilities are endless. But no matter the medium, all
incorporate at least some of the following elements: interactivity, iconography,
illustration, supporting text, graphs, data visualization, and animation.
Mostly in management we use Graphs ,Charts etc for representation of data dependency.

The simplest and and most straightforward way to compare various categories is the
classic graph. The universally-recognized graph features a series of bars of varying
lengths.
One axis of a graph features the categories being compared, while the other axis
represents the value of each. The length of each bar is proportionate to the numerical
value or percentage that it represents.
