• Xác định S, V, O và thì của V trong câu chủ động.

• Lấy O trong câu chủ động làm S của câu bị động.
• Biến đổi V chính trong câu chủ động thành PP.2 (Past Participle) trong
câu bị động.
• Thêm To be vào trước PP.2 trong câu bị động

To be phải chia theo:

 Chủ ngữ của câu chủ động thành tác nhân trong câu bị động (by + agent).
 Nhưng nếu chủ ngữ là: I, you, he, she, it, we, they thường được
bỏ
